Will Revisited

I have been one of the luckiest photographers in the world to have had the chance to capture this little boy as he grows up. And I say 'boy' and not 'baby' anymore because he's walking, talking, and developing his very own personality. I spent some time with him and his grandparents as he explored a backyard creek (first time!) and went swimming. What a fun and interesting age!

Here he was at 4 months and 9 months...
And now...Same blue eyes, same cute smile. Just a little older and with a bit more blond hair :)
Down at the creek Will learned that the larger the rock...the larger the splash :)
'How big is Will?' ... 'So big!'
And that same weekend, Will was in a wedding that I was photographing (pictures to come soon!) He looked so adorable in his tux and I couldn't help but show you a sneak peek.

Emily & Stewart: Engaged

I had a fabulous time exploring Brooklyn Heights with Emily & Stewart to celebrate their engagement. What a beautiful neighborhood! And what a lovely couple :) Great way to spend a Sunday afternoon...

What a lovely street to live on :) Oh how I love thee, Brooklyn Bridge... Emily & Stewart - Thank you for showing me your neighborhood in Brooklyn. And thank you for asking me to document your love.

Summer High Line

Back in February I posted photos from a winter walk we took on the High Line. We decided to visit it again in warmer weather and it was breathtaking. I focused on the textures and color and the afternoon didn't disappoint.
It really brings such a natural beauty to the west side. I'm excited to see how the cool fall air transforms the space yet again...

Inspiration

Today I needed a 'pick me up.' So I ... looked at a picture of my favorite flower . read an inspirational quote . took a deep breath . smiled . and walked on.

"If you don't like something, change it.

And if you can't change it, change your attitude."

Baby 'T' Part II

I shared photos from the session with Baby 'T' last week and was so excited when his Dad emailed me with some really kind words. Since he wasn't there the first time I was hoping we could schedule another session with the entire family to get some Daddy|son pictures. And boy am I glad we did!
It really warmed my heart to see the two of them together. I loved witnessing the pride and pure joy he feels when he looks at his son.
We spent some time with the entire family hanging out around the house.
And we had the added pleasure of including Henry, Hayley and Bragg's adorable dog. He was a bit camera shy in the beginning :)
The icing on the cake: Baby 'T' decided to open his eyes and say hello for a few minutes. I was so excited to finally meet him!
