land of Shakespeare and Harry Potter

You could say I'm super excited. Really really excited. I'm on my way to the UK next week for work and have embraced the chance to spend a few days as a tourist in the land of Shakespeare and Harry Potter. I plan to go to museums, see as many historic sites as I can, and have afternoon tea. I don't usually drink tea (or any hot beverage for that matter), but as they say 'when in Rome...'

If you have any 'must-sees' please send them my way. I love an adventure.

And in the spirit of my home for the next week, I thought I would recount some Shakespeare out of my dusty memory. If I ever had the inclination to act, my dream would have been to play Puck from 'A Midsummer Night's Dream.'

If only to read his epilogue...

'If we shadows have offended,
Think but this, and all is mended,
That you have but slumber'd here
While these visions did appear.
And this weak and idle theme,
No more yielding but a dream,
Gentles, do not reprehend:
if you pardon, we will mend:
And, as I am an honest Puck,
If we have unearned luck
Now to 'scape the serpent's tongue,
We will make amends ere long;
Else the Puck a liar call;
So, good night unto you all.
Give me your hands, if we be friends,
And Robin shall restore amends.'

Cheers!
